System Integration & Design Lead

Define and take ownership of machine head subsystem reqs.

Translate DM1 requirements to specific component-level requirements.

Conduct system level 3D reviews and interface definition with cross-functional teams.

Perform trade-offs for systems and make decisions on system design.

Validation & Testing

Plan and assist in the validation of the machine head parts.

Collaborate with testing institutions and encourage the certification process.

Root cause analysis of and resolution of system collisions or failures - RCA, SAFER, PAC cases to identify areas of opportunity.

Optimization & Support

Enhance and optimize current machine head systems at wind farm and manufacturing locations.

Assess loads, implement should-cost models, and support design-to-cost approaches.

Provide support for field operations and troubleshooting and corrective actions.

Inter-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, field services, and supply chain groups.

Lead and/or participate in technical and program reviews.

Perform DFMEAs and risk coping plans of the drives.

Wind turbine design Desired Qualifications

Mechanical or Structural Engineering, bachelor s degree required

3 or more years in engineering or technical role

Travel (up to 20%) and climb wind turbines is required.

Preferred Qualifications For Wind power system integration

Background in wind turbine design and application

Solid understanding of mechanical design and system engineering

Knowledge of drivetrain and structural assembly components

Experience with cross-cultural and global work.regex:cross-cultural and global virtual team experience

Technical drawing & 3D model interpretation skills prevalent

Wind Turbine Design Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $98,400 – $164,000 (per year)

Relocation Assistance: Yes

Bonus/Incentive Eligible

Regional Salary Differentials: 130%
