Job responsibilities — What You’ll Do as an MCE Wind Technician
As Wind Turbine MCE Technician for Global Wind Service, you will be doing:
- ✅ Component exchanges (MCE) for GE and Vestas turbines
- 🔍 Debugging and significant corrective maintenance
- 🧰 Quality inspections, tool use, and enforcing safety
- 🧗 Working at height and in remote locations
- 📆 Schedule your work and talk with your team leaders
- 🧪 Attend ongoing GWS technical training
- 🚐 Inspect and upkeep safety equipment, tools and company vehicles
👥 Team Leader / Manager Positions Also Available
And, if you’ve previously managed MCE teams, we’re also hiring Field-Experienced Team Leads with a solid safety background as a GE wind Turbine & & Vestas technician Jobs
Who We’re Looking For – Required Skill Set & Qualifications
- 1+ years of (preferably GE, or Vestas) wind turbine experience
- Able to travel throughout the U.S. frequently
- Able to work safely and comfortable at heights and in all weather conditions
- GWO cert is a + but not required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Good roles in both communication and collaboration

❓ Do I need GWO training to be able to apply?
No, although GWO certifications are appreciated, we consider applicants with experience even if they have not been certified. Training will be provided if necessary.
❓ Is this one location?
No. This is a travel position throughout the US with time spent on different wind farm sites.
❓ Are there any leadership positions?
Yes! We are also hiring Team Leads who have experience in managing MCE or large corrective service teams.
❓ What type of turbines will I work on?
Mainly GE and Vestas wind turbines, at various utility-scale installations.
