Experienced Wind Technician Jobs Responsibilities

This O&M Tech Spvsr – (Operations & Maintainance Supervisor for General Electric) will perform Inspections, Maintenance, and General Repairs on GE wind turbines

Advertising and safety will adhere to strict protocols, documentation and reporting.

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems

Rely on tech manuals such as TWP, WDI, PCAT and more

Go up and down a tower as high as 800 ft. multiple times each day

Report job progress and work performed in accordance with customer standards

Working in rigorous environments (High area, high land, small enclave)

Candidate Requirements for GE turbine technician

Previous experience as a wind turbine technician (onshore/offshore)

Good physical endurance and lift up to 50lbs

Driver’s license or State ID (must be valid)

Negative drug screen and background check

Good attendance, communication and cultural competency.

Must be versatile, modest and a great team player

Experience with Microsoft Office

Q: Do I have to live in Massachusetts or Texas?

A: No, you may live anywhere in the U.S. We cover travel from your home to the worksite and return to your home.

Q: What sort of wind turbines will I be working with?

A: You will mainly work on GE turbines at sea.

Q: Is this work physically strenuous?

A: Yes. You’ll climb turbines that are hundreds of feet tall, work in extreme weathers, and have to lift heavy tools.

Q: What is the rotation like?

A: It varies from project to project – some schedules are 3 weeks on/3 weeks off but others are 6 weeks on/2 weeks off.
