Your Role at Ørsted:
In this high-impact role you’ll be working directly with utilities and regional transmission operators to guide the entire interconnection process for renewable energy projects, across wind, solar, and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems). You will lead clean energy development from the early stages of planning through construction and into commercial operation, which includes driving all aspects of planning, contracting, engineering and regulatory coordination.

Who We Are – Onshore Transmission
You will be a member of a fast-paced, mission-driven team that provides support to Engineering, Construction and Project Acquisition teams in understanding interconnection requirements, conducting fatal flaw analysis, and achieving transmission success for onshore renewables. We partner with teams across the business, and with our external stakeholders to build world-class infrastructure for a net-zero world.
Transmission Manager Key Responsibilities:
Design end-to-end interconnection and transmission analysis in certain RTOs (ERCOT, MISO, WECC)
Support Engineering & Construction with constraints and interconnection cost/schedule estimates
Conduct fatal-flaw and congestion-risk .
Direct relationships with our stakeholders and utilities throughout project life cycle.
Facilitate M&A, greenfield growth and asset sales
Assist in technical reviews for third party financial reviews (e.g. tax equity deals)
Consult with Finance on portfolio level, transmission strategy, and dispositions
Qualifications For Renewable Energy Jobs
Masters degrees in Electrical and Electronics (or equivalent experience)
Extensive experience in Generator Interconnection or Transmission System Operations
Experience with ERCOT, MISO, or WECC workflow utilities.
Knowledge of FERC/NERC/RTO procedures and energy markets
Experience with PSS/E, TARA, Power World, or PSLF at the user-level
Outstanding communicator, influencer, and cross-functional partner
