Field Service Engineer Responsibilities

  • Commissioning and start-up of low/medium voltage equipment.
  • Investigate malfunctioning electrical systems such as air-conditioning controls, security door controls, television controls, and other systems.
  • Upkeep and repair of electrical distribution and automation systems.
  • Provide on location training, consulting and customer support.
  • Analyze test result data and provide condition evaluations.
  • Implement and maintain OSHA regulation safety regulations for all field sites.
  • Benefit both greenfield and brownfield projects throughout the U.S.

Field Service Engineer Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in electrical equipment and system.
  • Thorough understanding of LV/MV Switchgear, circuit breakers, and distribution systems.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Travel up to 80% required.
  • Applicants must be an Iowa resident and possess an U.S. driver’s license.

Wind Energy Jobs Qualifications

  • Bachelors in EE req.
  • 3 to 5 years experience as a field service technician.
  • Knowledge of Protection Relays, SF6 Circuit Breakers and Project Management tools.
  • Safety Certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, MSHA, TWIC, NETA/NICET.
