This Wind Technician Jobs Opportunity is a full time, permanent position is based out of Abilene, TX.Training for the position will entail hands-on training in wind turbine maintenance. No matter if close to graduating or years of experience, this is a chance to get your hands on the front lines of America’s renewable energy future.

Wind Technician Jobs Key Responsibilities
Scale 400′ wind turbines each day to test, trouble shoot, and repair systems
Service and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Lead fault diagnosis and take corrective actions
Carry out preventive maintenance, perform tests, and transformer replacements
Use heavy equipment (forklift, carpentry tools, hoists, rigging systems, crane)
Comply with all LOTO requirements and EH&S documentation practices via Maximo
Wind Turbine Technician Qualifications
🔹 Wind Technician I:
High School diploma or GED
Willingness to complete Deriva Level I training within 1 year
🔹 Wind Technician II:
High School diploma or GED
External: 3 + yrs relevant expeirence & JPM or CIB completion during probation
Internal: Deriva & JPMs – 1+ years experience completed
Preferred Skills For Deriva Energy Wind Technician
Wind or Renewable Energy AAS or certificate.
Experience with MHI 2.4MW and Siemens 2.3-108 MW turbines.
Experince with Maximo EZ Max, Microsoft Office, MyTime systems
Forklift, CPR/AED and tower rescue/EEM trained and certified
Experience with voltmeters, amp clamps, oscilloscopes and rigging (hands-on)
Working Conditions For Renewable Energy Jobs Pennsylvania
Live within 1 hour drive of Laurel Hill Wind Farm
Working outdoors in harsh weather (rain, snow, wind, heat and cold)
Nonetheless, warehouse experience, climbing & lifting 75+ lbs. exposure to noise & chemicals a must
Required:Background check, drugs screen, pre-employment physical
Maximum weight: 265 lbs to keep yourself safe while you are working out on this machine
