Wind Technician Jobs Responsibilities
- Conducting routine inspections and serviced preventative maintenance on parts
- Testing, diagnosing, and repair on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Replacement or repair of damaged parts to keep the turbine working efficiently
- Scaling turbines to carry out work with the use of special tools and safety equipment
- Recording in maintenance logs and performance measurements in the system
- We carry out our work through safety measures and OSHA regulations
What You’ll Be Bringing to the Role
- High school graduate/GED (preferred associate degree)
- Solid mechanical or electrical foundation; experience in wind energy a plus
- Good knowledge of Safety systems, LOTO and PPE standards
- Aptitude to work at various heights and in different weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to climb towers (Max weight 265lbs per OSHA)
- Current driver’s license and the ability to pass a DMV check.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
