Senior Production Manager Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement strategic production plans, focusing on efficiency, profitability, and resource optimization.
- Create a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within production teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production strategies with business objectives and market demands.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for production leaders and frontline employees.
Production Operations & Process Improvement
- Oversee workflow and assembly processes, identifying efficiency gains and process improvement opportunities.
- Manage labor allocation to ensure proper staffing levels for direct and indirect labor roles.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to optimize performance.
- Ensure production consistently meets safety and quality standards, while maintaining production pace.
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of business systems that align with company strategies.
Financial & Cost Optimization
- Develop and oversee the annual manufacturing budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiencies without compromising quality.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring just-in-time material availability while reducing excess stock.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives, including supplier negotiations, process automation, and waste reduction.
Safety, Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other industry regulations for workplace safety and environmental standards.
- Oversee proper handling, storage, disposal, and transport of hazardous materials and waste, adhering to state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate emergency response initiatives related to hazardous materials and workplace safety.
- Maintain detailed documentation of safety protocols, audits, and compliance reports.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, production, or process industries.
- 10+ years of experience managing large-scale production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment, highly preferred in blades.
Competencies:
- Advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to analyze technical documents, regulatory guidelines, and business reports to make data-based decisions.
- Demonstrated communication and cross-departmental leadership skills, allowing for effective interaction with individuals at all tiers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP/manufacturing software (SAP or similar).
- Experienced in developing and executing strategic production plans, balancing business, department, and individual priorities
