Turbine Technician Physical Requirements

To execute this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Able to stand and move around for long duration during work day.

Utilize telephones, short-range radio, and other form of communication.

Possess visual acuity including color and depth perception to perform survey verification and operate survey instruments.

Stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed; hand/eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity.

Ascend or descend stairs and vertical ladders up to 100 meters while maintaining a high level of mental attentiveness not to exceed prescribed time limit.

Carry/lift/push/pull equipment and a variety of tools up to 50 pounds.

Attend, successfully complete, and maintain certification in ALL required safety programs for this position, including but not limited to LOTO, Electrical Safe Qualified Person, Fall Arrest, High Angle Rescue, Emergency Descent Systems, and Confined Space Entry.

Succeed all necessary training, which includes that you practice descending.

Based on the fall protection equipment requirements, employee, PPE, & tool weight cannot exceed 300 lbs. (PPE and tools can weigh up to 40 lbs.).
