Wind Tech Job Texas Summary
We are looking for experienced Wind Turbine Technicians – Install. You will be responsible for the installation, integration and commissioning of the wind turbines on the project in North America. You will be part of a team, making sure that installations are done to manufacturers specs in a safe manner on time.
Experienced Wind Turbine Technician Responsibilities
• Install wind turbine parts such as nacelles, hubs and towers.
• Assemble turbine systems mechanical and electrical.
• Adhere to manufacturer installation instructions and specifications.
• Follow OSHA, GWO and site specific safety procedures.
• Help torque, tension, cable and align turbine parts.
• Use and operate rigging, hoists, and power tools in a safe manner.
• Track work progress by job site reports and checklists.

Wind Turbine Technician Jobs Requirements:
• At least 1 year experience of wind turbine installation and maintenance is preferred, and experience of wind energy industry is preferred (candidates without specific wind experience will still be considered if they have a suitable technical background such as mechanical and electrical skills).
• Comfortable working above 300 feet of elevation.
• Capacity to lift and carry at least 50 lbs, to climb ladders, and to work in environments that are demanding physically.
Proficient knowledge of light mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Valid driver’s license and travel up to 70%.
• GWO (Global Wind Organization) training desirable (can be arranged).
• Requires pre-employment drug screen and background check.
